October 22 – Current situation of the vegetable markets does not seem friendly for the customers due to inflating prices of every day items. As per the recent reports, prices of onion have hit century in many parts of the country. Although productivity of onions has been normal till this year yet rumor has it, onionsa few traders have purchased a good stock of onions with the motive to make out most benefit from its sale. It seems clearly that there are no emergency measures to have a control over the prices of onions.

If this will be the situation again for a few more months, way for Congress is surely going to be difficult in the upcoming elections. Without any doubt, other political parties are going to stretch this topic as much as they can in their debates so to fetch attention of the voters.

Only a few days are left for Diwali and at this festive time, countless families are bound to leave onions in the stores only due to the unaffordable rates in which these are sold currently. Those who are able to buy at least one to two kilograms of onions are using smallest amount while preparing a variety of cuisines. Rising prices of vegetables have hurt household budget completely. New Delhi, Patna and Bhopal are the cities where onions are sold at 100 rupees per kg. Apart from this, throughout the various parts of the nation, its cost is lying in the range of 80-90.
